About Us
| We had visited the north Georgia mountains in the past and had fallen in love with the beauty of the area. We were also drawn to the laid back lifestyle. After having lived in Florida for 15 years, we decided it as time for a change. So one day in early September 2008, I hopped in my car and made the trip looking for a business to buy. After traversing the northern part of the state from one end to the other, I found my way to historic downtown Blue Ridge. I knew, right away, this was the town. I just had to find a business that would be appealing to me and to my wife. Alas, there it was: The Chocolate Express. | |
| So after checking out the shop, I drove back to Florida and brought my wife, Linda, to see the place I was hoping would soon be ours. She was as smitten with the shop as I was. We began as new owners on October 16, 2008. The previous owners stayed for 10 days to train us. |

We make all 25 varieties of our fudge from scratch and use only the freshest ingredients. We carry over 60 different types of chocolates and an outstanding selection of sugar free candies. We offer a variety of gifts, as well as Mayfield Ice Cream and old-fashioned sodas. We are located at 634 East Main Street in Blue Ridge, Georgia on the same side of the street as the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway depot... just a few doors down.
